I had a square body suburban, it wasn't very reliable but it was giant and awesome.

We had two that were great, both with the 6.2 Detroit Diesel. Lots of early wrenching memories, and many more of long naps in the back on road trips.

I love it but I’m interested to see what the undercarriage looks like. 40+ years of Minnesota winters can’t have been that nice to it. Overall it looks pretty darn clean!

Nah I bet
you’d get 6-8MPG, worth it.

I had one with the 6.2 as well. I just had it a few years ago though so it was old and always broke down.
It was also slow as hell in the non-turbo form.

Wait... These Suburbans were available with D etroit D iesels? Aren’t those two-stroke engines? The ones that primarily convert fuel into fun noises?

Just the name of the manufacturing company, like Cummins . A 2-71 would be awesome in an old Burb tho

R
ust is obviously a concern, and I’ve not seen the car in real life, but I guess
there would be apparent
rust on the rockers and fenders.
Minnesota winters are turning into a IMS bearing myth around here. True but overblown.
